To find the county name, please enter the name of the city or town:
Alaska
Wikipedia under Alaska. Scroll down to bottom of page. The second to the last section is entitled "State of Alaska". Look for "Boroughs" on the left. Click on any Borough to see the cities therein. Note: Alaska does not have counties. They have what is called "Boroughs" and/or "Census Areas"
Illinois
Entering city name yields county name.
Indiana

Kentucky

Maine
Click County on green map. Yields list of cities within that county and other county information.

There are over 1,000,000 geographic names listed in the United States of America. Enter a feature name and state abbreviation (CA, NY, KY, etc) if known or just a partial name (Rancho for Rancho Santa Margarita). This yields: state, county and map.

Clicking on any one state yields a list of counties in that state and the county seat. At this point, you can do one of two things: (1). By clicking on any listed county it yields a list of county officials while above and to the right of the county officials is a link for the cities within that county. (2). Click "Cities in..." in the grey box of "Related Links...". This yields a list of all cities (a-z) and it's county name to the right.
